Coram has won Family Law Clerking Team of the Year, London, at the 2021 Family Law Awards.
This award is the product of a huge amount of work and dedication put in by Director of Clerking, Hudson Brewer and the rest of the team. We are delighted that our peers, colleagues and clients who voted for us, recognised our focus and commitment to excellence in client care, but also our innovative working style and adaptability during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coram’s position as one of the country’s leading family law sets is a testament to the talent of this incredible clerking team and the pedigree of our members, first and foremost, but would not be possible without the working partnerships we have with those who instruct chambers, and the other organisations and professionals we work with.
We are also thrilled that Srishti Suresh won this year’s award for Family Law Young Barrister of the Year, the judges noting Srishti’s proven commitment to access to justice with significant experience of working with vulnerable clients in highly contentious cases. Furthermore, her commitment to improving the landscape of the Bar for underrepresented communities as well as her work as a founding member of Bridging the Bar (an organisation providing work experience opportunities to aspiring barristers from non-traditional backgrounds) was rightly recognised.
This year’s awards come off the back of Coram’s success at the awards in 2020, and show that chambers continues to maintain its place as a centre for excellence in family law.
