About
Ella is a specialist children’s lawyer advising and representing clients in both public and private children law and has represented a considerable number of clients on a direct access basis with very positive feedback.
Experience
Ella is experienced in complex public law cases, including sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, forced marriage and honour-based violence. Ella represents local authorities, parents, children, other family members and interveners. Ella is often instructed in cases involving designation, transfer of jurisdiction and cases in which it is proposed a child is to be placed outside of the jurisdiction.
Ella has considerable experience in applications for a Deprivation of Liberty safeguards, secure accommodation orders, adoption applications and proceedings in the Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC).
Ella is recognised by instructing solicitors for her skill in dealing with vulnerable and young clients.
Ella represents clients with respect to Child Arrangement Orders, including enforcement, specific issue and prohibited steps orders. Ella has delivered a number of well attended seminars for solicitors with respect to domestic abuse and fact-finding hearings in private children’s cases. Ella has also acted for parents in a number of specific issue applications for permission to relocate or leave to remove a child from the jurisdiction.
Ella also takes instructions on a direct access basis and has received excellent feedback from direct access clients for the representation she has provided and for supporting the clients through the court process.
