The Members and Staff of Coram Chambers are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our friend and colleague, Neil Bullock, who died peacefully at home on Saturday, in his garden. Neil had faced a number of health challenges in recent years, but his death has come as a shock to us all.
Neil was one of the founding members of Coram Chambers. He was a very popular member of Chambers and a much sought after advocate. He had a well known passion for justice and social change. He always demonstrated great empathy for his clients and was a formidable practitioner.
Those of us who knew Neil during the past three decades recall his kindness, his effervescence and the outrageous outfits he would wear to the Chambers’ Christmas party. No doubt the most memorable was a pink ballerina tutu, which raised some eyebrows as he travelled to the party on the underground.
Neil was a force of nature who, despite his illness, remained committed to Chambers and the practice of law. His death is a very sad loss to Coram, the family justice system and, in particular, his family and many friends.
