About
Mariella began her pupillage in October 2025 and is currently supervised by Caroline Croft.
Prior to pupillage, Mariella worked as a family paralegal at a London-based firm, assisting in financial remedies and private children cases. She also undertook a capital defence internship at a non-profit law firm in Philadelphia, where she assisted with appeals for clients seeking relief for wrongful convictions.
Mariella’s pro bono experience includes volunteering with Vocalise, a student-led initiative teaching debating across London prisons, and with Calm Mediation, researching the impact of legal aid cuts for their family mediation campaign. She also worked with Westminster Advocate Service, where she advocated for vulnerable clients in housing and disability discrimination cases.
Mariella holds a first-class Geography degree from the London School of Economics. She then completed the GDL and Bar Course, during which she was awarded scholarships from Gray’s Inn and City Law School.
