Georgina specialises in financial disputes on divorce, relationship breakdown and contentious children cases, involving welfare issues, relocation and abduction. Regarded as a highly knowledgeable and skilful advocate with a real flair for putting people at their ease, Georgina’s knowledge of French and German makes her an excellent choice for any case with an international element.
Georgina’s practice encompasses all areas of private family law with a focus on financial remedy upon divorce, cohabitation disputes, schedule 1 and complex children cases involving both welfare and international issues. Georgina appears regularly in the High Court and has also appeared in the Court of Appeal.
Georgina has been a member of chambers since 2010. Before joining, with an important scholarship, Georgina was employed by Hugh James, a top 100 UK law firm based in Cardiff, working on high net worth divorce cases and child abduction cases. Georgina had previously embarked on an acting career and combined her training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with work as a bilingual assistant for Campbell Lutyens, a corporate finance boutique in Mayfair. This experience affords Georgina a commanding presence in court and an insight into complex financial arrangements.
