Coram Chambers is proud to announce that Amanda Bewley will be running the Paris Marathon on 12 April 2026 in support of Dementia UK. Amanda’s determination to complete the 26.2-mile challenge through the iconic streets of Paris is matched by her deep commitment to raising both funds and awareness for a cause close to her heart.

Amanda’s motivation is profoundly personal due to her family’s previous and ongoing experience of having loved ones live with dementia.

Amanda’s beloved Nan lived with Alzheimer’s, and it was only later that Amanda learnt about Admiral Nurses – specialist dementia nurses who provide expert guidance, practical support and genuine compassion to families navigating the complex journey of dementia. Amanda wishes her family had known about this vital service. It is only through Amanda’s current experience of having a loved one with dementia that she has become aware of the incredible work of Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses, and she is determined to ensure others have access to the support they need.

“Training for a marathon is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia and those who care for them.” Amanda shared with us, “My Nan and her identical twin both had Alzheimer’s, and now I have a close family member living with dementia. Every mile I run is for them. I am told that a marathon is a victory lap for every mile you run in training. It will be a victory lap fuelled by love. ”

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity, funding Admiral Nurses who make a tangible difference for families across the UK. These nurses, often with extensive NHS experience, empower families to regain control, find solutions to everyday struggles, and experience moments of hope and joy even in difficult circumstances.

Amanda’s fundraising efforts will directly support Dementia UK’s work, enabling more families to benefit from Admiral Nurses’ expertise and compassion. She invites everyone to join her in making a difference – whether by donating, sharing her fundraising page, or simply spreading the word about the invaluable services Dementia UK offers.
