Greg Williams and Alex Laing are featured in Resolution’s July/August edition of The Review.

Their article, “Outta time, but not outta luck” examines section 4 of the Inheritance Act, and more specifically, when permission may be given to bring a claim out of time.

Greg and Alex discuss the topic in light of Re Estate of Mr Bhusate (deceased) [2019] EWHC 470 (Ch), [2019] All ER (D) 112 (Mar) and examine past case law on the court’s discretionary power to permit a claim to be made out of time. They also provide three main points practitioners should take away from the decision.
