About Me
Olivia read Theology at the University of Cambridge, before going on to complete the GDL. She subsequently undertook the BPTC, followed by an LLM at UCL. She was awarded scholarships for both the GDL and the BPTC (The Steen Award), by Gray’s Inn.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Olivia spent a year working as the Judicial Assistant to Sir Andrew McFarlane, The President of the Family Division. She also carried out work for the Family Division judges of the Court of Appeal. During this time, Olivia conducted legal research, and offered preliminary viewpoints on the merits of cases both at first instance and at appeal.
Whilst studying for her LLM, Olivia volunteered with the Free Representation unit, where she successfully represented clients before the First-Tier Tribunal. She also taught debating to young offenders, as part of prison-mentoring scheme Vocalise.
