Michael Horton and Alex Laing are pleased this week to have represented the husband in his important appeal to the Court of Appeal on an Anglo-Scottish maintenance dispute. The case focusses on the proper interpretation and application of the EU Maintenance Regulation in intra-UK disputes: specifically, where there is a divorce in Scotland, is it open to a spouse to apply south of the border for maintenance, where a spouse is likely to get much more favourable terms?
The case is widely reported in this morning’s national and local papers and on Talk Radio.
