Maya Achan, barrister at Coram Chambers, has co-authored an article with Amanda Weston KC for the June edition of the Family Law Journal. Together, they explored the Family Justice Council’s 18th Annual Debate, which asked: ‘Does the term “permanence” help or hinder outcomes for children?’
The debate, held by the Council, brought together leading voices from across the family justice sector. The panel discussed how the concept of permanence shapes decisions in children’s law. They asked whether this term supports or complicates the pursuit of better outcomes for children.
