The members of Coram Chambers were greatly saddened to learn that our colleague and dear friend Ian Griffin of 4 Brick Court has passed away. We wish to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to Ian’s family, friends and colleagues. We especially wish to convey to our colleagues at 4 Brick Court our shared sense of loss.
His passing is a tremendous loss not only to his chambers but to the Family Bar as a whole. Ian was a highly regarded Head of Chambers and a tenacious advocate. He was a well-loved colleague whom we were always pleased to see at court. The glint in his eye matched his wicked sense of humour.
He leaves behind many happy memories and a particular legacy as an advocate for wellbeing at the Bar. There have been many exchanges between our members expressing their own particular memories and feelings of loss and sadness.
Ian will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.Posted on
