Sophie’s pupillage spans a wide range of family law cases including public children, private children, inheritance act claims, TOLATA and family finance as well as Court of Protection work.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Sophie worked for almost two years as a paralegal for Hornby and Levy Solicitors, a specialist family law firm based in South London. She worked on cases involving several different areas of family law including TOLATA, public children, private children, child abduction, divorce, ancillary relief, Schedule 1 of the Children’s Act 1989 and injunctions. Her work included representing clients in ex-parte applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
During her studies, Sophie volunteered at the Personal Support Unit and supported litigants in person in both the Royal Courts of Justice and the Central Family Court.
