Mark Twomey QC was invited to speak on 21 September at the Unicef Kazakhstan and Supreme Court Conference in Astana, Kazakhstan. He presented on the topics of Juvenile Justice and the Family Courts, sharing his expertise on the advancement of courts and advice for Kazakhstan.

The conference was attended by representatives of the British Embassy for Kazakhstan, UNICEF, members of the Kazakhstan judiciary and other members of the legal community, and examined how a family court might work in the country.
