The Coram human rights team provides expert representation and advice on all aspects of human rights practice with particular focus on matters arising from the family law arena.
The Coram human rights team has leading expertise in all aspects of human rights work, including cases involving fundamental rights and freedoms protected by the Human Rights Act 1998, the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Members of the Coram human rights team have been influential in writing and lecturing on the interplay of the Human Rights Act 1998 and family law; the team brings a specialism to Chambers’ wider family law practice. Our expertise gives the team a leading edge in pursuing those areas of family law practice where the engagement of issues of fundamental rights and freedoms is greatest.
We are experienced in representing claimants and public bodies in free-standing human rights claims and in pursuing human rights claims within existing family law or public law proceedings.
