Areas of Practice
      
Tamzin practises in all areas of family law at Coram Chambers: Children (Public and Private), Domestic Violence and the Human Rights Act where she represented parents, local authorities and guardians before different levels of court.

Tamzin has a keen interest in human rights and international law. Prior to being called to the Bar she worked at the AIRE Centre, advising on the European Convention on Human Rights in general and specifically on how it affects family law. After coming to the Bar she spent time in Tanzania and India with international and national NGOs using her legal experience to draft practical guidelines, grassroot solutions and conduct training for the protection of orphaned, vulnerable and street children.

Since 2008 Tamzin has built on her interests and skills from the Bar working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva and East Africa. In Geneva she was involved in drafting guidelines and training to secure the best interests of unaccompanied and separated refugee children in refugee camps. She spent 2009 working in a refugee camp in Northern Ethiopia involved in implementing these guidelines for the protection of children and securing durable solutions for refugees. Presently on sabbatical from Coram, Tamzin is based in Kenya working with UNHCR.
