Areas of Practice

Sarah has a busy and varied practice in all areas of family law and has represented clients at all levels of court up to an including the Court of Appeal.

Ancillary Relief and Matrimonial Finance

Sarah represents and advises clients at every stage of ancillary relief proceedings, including TOLATA and transfer of tenancy applications.

Children

Sarah regularly represents a broad range of clients in private children matters, often involving allegations of domestic violence and abuse, or intractable hostility cases. Sarah also acts in public law proceedings for Local Authorities, parents, Guardians and intervenors at all stages in proceedings. Her practice has included cases involving wardship, inherent jurisdiction and forced marriages, and cases in the Family Drug and Alcohol Court.

Domestic Violence

Sarah is experienced in Family Law Act 1996 work, representing clients throughout proceedings from emergency applications to complex fact-finding hearings.

Background

Sarah joined Chambers having successfully completed her pupillage with Coram. Prior to joining Coram, Sarah worked as a paralegal in the Family department of Farrer & Co LLP where she gained extensive experience in complex ancillary relief and private child law proceedings, often with a foreign element.

In addition to her family law work, Sarah has also represented clients at the Rent Assessment Committee through the BPP Bar Pro Bono Unit and has undertaken Pro Bono work for the Centre for Corporate Accountability.
