Children
Sharon Sawyerr practises exclusively in
childcare law and is experienced in all types of
application relating to children. She has a particular interest in
public law proceedings, in relation to which
she acts for local authorities, parents and
guardians. She is robust in the giving
of advice to and the representation of clients.
Sharon became interested
in a career at the Bar following a meeting with
her careers adviser at school, who told her that
it would be very hard for "someone like her" to
succeed at the Bar.
In 1997 Sharon took a sabbatical and travelled
to Jamaica, where she worked for the Council for
Human Rights.
